2008 Spring trip to the Lake

 


A long dirt road - but . .

we saw some Antelope.

We went for a bike ride

in a volcanic area

with lots of interesting

rock formations.

The John Day river was high.

The Forester with Toy Trailer

The fields were green but there

was snow in the mountains.

We thought the water

was high when we arrived

but it would get higher soon.

The goose family,

and a beaver

and goes sailing,

- also good for moving logs.

When the water got

to the highest

we went to the park

to check it out,

and then for a canoe ride

to see how things looked.

The lake drains at the

Post Falls Dam and then

Down the gorge.

In Spokane, the falls

Were HUGE.

Our last bike ride

up to Plummer.

A side trip to check out the

Idaho Rally area,

which had a steam vent

and some Elk !

Walker Lake on the way to

Hawthorne Nevada,

the most Red, White

and Blue town

we have ever seen.

The Sierras had a

lot of snow.
